When people usually think about moving to a new place to live, they often only think of the large, major cities in the US such as Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, or Seattle, but what many people don’t realize is that often the best places to live are the small towns with that peaceful, close-knit atmosphere. Although some small towns may not offer everything a large city has to offer, they are often within convenient driving distance to a major city. Nevertheless, many people may find that living in those small towns is much more relaxing and comfortable than enduring the bustling city life.

One of the best small towns to live in in the US is Louisville, Colorado. Nestled in the Rockies, Louisville is full of eco-hipsters and people will find that numerous ice cream shops, locally owned restaurants and entertainment venues fill the historic downtown. The town has complete access to the surrounding natural features, making it ideal for any outdoor-lover.

Another great town to live in is Chanhassen, Minnesota. Due to the availability of jobs in the nearby Twin Cities area, unemployment in Chanhassen is extremely low, and property taxes have dropped every year for the past five years. The town also boasts a perfect triple-A bond rating and offers numerous town activities including a carnival, ice-fishing contests, skating, and hockey.

If you wish to explore some of the other great small towns in America, you should consider visiting Papillion, Nebraska, Middleton, Wisconsin, Milton, Massachusetts, and Mulkiteo, Washington.
